MOUSE GUARD: “Storyboards”
One of the casualties of the Disney/Fox merger was Mouse Guard – a truly beautiful and ambitious project to be directed by Wes Ball and based on the books by David Petersen. Creating a world for mice allowed for unique story-telling opportunities, tremendous scale and inspiring points of view. It had it all – a hero’s journey filled with swashbuckling adventure, breathtaking scenery, aerial “bird-fights,” turtles the size of dinosaurs… hopefully these storyboards will help you visualize what might have been (or better yet, read the books!).
